As the Anchorage Downtown Partnership (ADP) says, good Alaskans know that a little cold air can’t stop a good time. And although the air wasn’t all that cold on Friday, good times were a go at the Bunny Boots and Burn Barrels party!

A few weeks ago, I strolled into City Market after work to pick up a few ingredients for dinner and found the dining area filled with fiddlers and other musicians, sharing their cheerful sound with evening shoppers.

Autumn
My mom sent me this perfect quote by George Eliot the other day to celebrate my favorite season: “…..if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.”
Fall is briefly back, and I’m reveling in it!
It’s been a while…
But just because Gretchen Loves Anchorage has been a bit quiet (for so long that since I last wrote summer ended, we sped through fall, and it snowed last week) it doesn’t mean there hasn’t been plenty going on in town – First Fridays, Salmon Daze, Pirate Pub Crawl, Hip to be (Town) Square, End of Summer Camp, PARK(ing) Day Anchorage… countless others. There’s always something fun to do!
