One day, when researching photographers, I stumbled upon Charles Tice.  He’s a street photographer, which focuses on capturing subjects in public places during candid moments. You may have seen his work before – he snapped the shot of this moose that Spenard Roadhouse uses on the postcards they send out with the bill.

Blueberries @ Denali Montessori School

More urban foraging!  I just discovered the blueberries at Denali Montessori School, bordering 9th Ave.  Between the strawberries at the museum, the blueberries at Denali, and the salmon in ship creek, my husband (or bears!) could almost create his favorite dinner.  Not all harvested at the same time, of course – the few fish I saw at the hatchery the other day were starting to look a little bedraggled… but the blueberries look great!

Second Hand Dragon

Second Run is having a sale, and it’s great!  I fell in love with multiple home furnishings, including a pair of Tiffany style lamps, and art deco brass and glass coffee table, some oil landscapes, a little dog named Gizmo, and multiple gold framed mirrors.  But this crazy dragon stole my heart.  It used to grace a restaurant, but now it’s for sale at Second Run.  I long for this dragon to come home with me – it would be so cool in a dim corner of a house, lurking to startle unsuspecting guests, or even better, paired with some sort of over the top, glitzy glam vanity/dressing room.
