Weekly Digest – Issue #5

Happy Sunday, Anchorage! Whether your plans for the day include curling up with a cup of hot coffee and a good book, playing outside in the snow, or catching up on chores/prepping for the week ahead (or a combination of all three!) take a couple minutes to enjoy a few of the things that make our city so special.

From words of advice by one of my favorite motivators, Holly Brooks, to a local entrepreneur, Mary Miner, revolutionizing microfinance in Rwanda, I’ve pulled together some of my favorite Anchorage stories this week. I’m so proud of the people who live here, and all the ways, big and small, they make this the place I love calling home.

There are some cool events coming up, from the competition to be named Alaska’s best barista to a local version of Shark Tank, and what promises to be the most delightful wedding event we’ve ever experienced: The Alaska Wedding Collective (I know a lot of the people putting it on, and they’re going to create something incredible!)

May the week ahead be better than the one behind. Cheers to all of you!
