Downtown Scavenger Hunt…BE THERE.

Downtown Anchorage ADP

Ever wanted to test your knowledge of downtown? There are a lot of us that think we know every nook and cranny, all the “Best Places to <fill in the blank>,” and the fastest way to get wherever we want to go…but do we really?

Saturday, May 2 is the perfect opportunity to prove your downtowniness at United Way’s Downtown Scavenger Hunt. I’ll be there with my team, the Infuriated Chipmunks, ready to match wits and speed with the best of Anchorage!

In addition to the fact that the scavenger hunt is going to be ridiculously fun for people of all ages, money raised through the event will support programs and special collaborative work like 90% by 2020 that help children in Anchorage succeed.

Registration is $35 per person, maximum 10 people per team, and kids are free with registered adults. There will be food and music on site before and after the event, as well as plenty of surprises along the way!

Register here: Downtown Scavenger Hunt.

More details for the day:
11 AM: Check-in opens at Town Square Park. Movin’ 105.7 will be broadcasting from the park, there will opportunities to get your picture taken and more!
12 PM: “GO!” All teams hit the ground running (or walking!) to solve clues that lead to people, places and things in Downtown Anchorage. Teams have two hours to solve the clues and return to Town Square Park.
2 PM (or sooner): Return to check-in and turn in your completed task card. We’ll have a prize for the first team back with a completed card!

When all the teams are back, prizes will be announced:

  • First team to return with a completed task list
  • Highest Individual Fundraiser
  • Highest Fundraising Team
  • And more!

The Downtown Scavenger Hunt will be wrapped up by 3 PM.

I hope to see you there!

I love Anchorage. I love what it is, what it's been, and what I dream it will be. I share my adventures with DJ (my husband), my fabulous family and friends, two frenchies named Grover and Teddy, and now, all of you. If you love Anchorage too, get in touch - guest posts are welcome!
