Alaskan Soda Jerk

One of the attractions at Pupil + Paper was Alaskan Soda Jerk. Just look at all those refreshing, flavorful (sugary) concoctions!

I ordered the Glacier Water, an “Arctic blast of cherry, coconut, lime, and sprite,” but was intrigued by the options with nutmeg – next time!

The not-at-all-jerky “jerks” wore white outfits accented by sailor-ish hats, black “nerd” glasses, and back bow ties. They flipped bottles and shimmied around each other as they made the drinks, rivaling the performance of any flairing bartender. Best of all, they were fun and seemed delighted by the excitement of the crowd. I hope they enjoyed it as much as we did!

I can’t tell for sure, but it looks like Alaskan Soda Jerk can be found at fairs, festivals, and special events – follow their Facebook page to figure out where they’ll be next!
