Love Note: Snowy I Love Yous

I love yous

The last few times I’ve walked down our street, I’ve seen “I love you” written in the snow, always with an exclamation point at the end; a joyous and emphatic statement.

The placement varies along my route, as does the style: traditional, shorthand, and symbols. I don’t know who wrote it, or who it was for – I hope the intended recipient of all that love got the message.

It was nice to continue down the street, smiling, thinking about secret snowy love notes.  Maybe it was just a message to the world at large. We all need a little extra love sprinkled into our lives.  So, if you’re reading this, write a love note to someone, secret or not.  It’s bound to make their day.

I tried to take a picture to share with you, but writing in snow is hard to photograph, so you’re stuck with my scrawled reproduction.

Thank you to the mystery writer of I love yous!
