Autumn Ending

This post is really just an excuse to share the photo of the lonely little duck at Westchester Lagoon, but also, I think autumn is almost over for real this time.

We’ve had a couple snowy false alarms, the ducks and leaves are mostly gone, snow tires are on my car, and I’ve started wearing my down coat (premature, I know…but it feels so good!  Light and warm and berry colored). All signs that winter is near.

It’s 25 degrees today, but sunny and gorgeous.  Here’s hoping for a snowy, sunny winter. I’m excited to go ice skating, skiing, and for frosty walks around town.

What are you excited about?
